Ahead of the Feb. 10, 2023 summit between President Lula of Brazil and President Biden of the US Climate Advisers hosted a webinar with experts from both countries to discuss expectations for conservation and climate action at the event. Together we looked at the potential of a revived partnership to protect the Amazon rainforest and other critical ecosystems to be announced at the summit and beyond.
Experts shared policy asks and recommendations from US and Brazilian civil society that were delivered to the Lula and Biden administrations ahead of the summit. Climate Advisers also covered some of the main findings of a new brief looking at 26 ways Presidents Lula and Biden can work together on climate action.
